Founded in 1988 Ridderheims is the leading delicatessen company in Northern Europe, producing and exporting a wide range of delicatessen. In order to keep its leading position and strengthen its brand in the European market Ridderheims were eager to understand key trends and opportunities in field offood and dining.

With the help of our research network, Kairos Future’s Consumer,Marketing and Innovation team identified a number of major trends that where reshaping the market of delicatessen. The trends were published in a book, The Ridderheim Report, and distributed to media and Ridderheims’ clients.

The trends are used extensively to identify and develop new productlines, and to sort out outdated products. They are also used as checklists in the dialogue with distributors.

• Report widely distributed to customers and opinion leaders
• Soon to come: Launch of ifood.com – Trend reports and distribution of recipes and cooking shows to MP3-player
• Future ambitions: Yearly updates of the report
